More Laptop stuff

Gonna be needing that system restore. Just got the call a little bit ago. Woke me up, actually. Way to start the day, huh? Strangely, I'm not all that upset about it. If anything, I'm just a little ticked that I can't really shave before going out anywhere... I use an electric, and the blades have dulled enough that it hardly really does anything. I could try a disposable razor, but I'd probably end up nickin' myself on accident.

What'll really kinda tick me off is if I bring the CDs in, and it turns out that there's, like, two or three more needed that I just don't have... I'm hoping these two are all I need. I forgot to ask if I'd have to pay to have that done again... Guess I'll just find out when I get there.

On the brightside, I really love my boyfriend. He treats me very well, and I'd really love to just wrap my arms around him and just tickle his neck with my nose... I love seein' him get all bubbly and giggles... Really warms my heart. Really, nothin' makes me happier than just to see him smile.

Also, sorry, Shiki, if my rants have been sorta disappointing lately. Not superduper Bipolar or anything.

I'll forgive you, just this once. After all, I do have an unfathomable chasm of generosity and kindness.

But I don't have the $30 it costs to do the recovery...

So I have to wait till my mom gets home. But somethin's weird... MOM'S not home, but her CAR is. Wtf.

When I get my laptop back, I'm gonna have to install Kaspersky and Microsoft Office all over again, along with WoW (Lord), and re-setup the Network connection. :\

Also, all my MP3's are gone. :\

But I think that'd void my warranty... Which still has, like, two and a half good years on it. That way, if any hardware's busted, they'll fix it for free...

... Well, I got there, went in, and ended up going back out and waiting for mom to show up with about $110 more dollars.

Fuck.

On the bright side, I've got everything up and running like it should be... Trying to keep things at a minimum, so I'm not gonna bother installing MSN or Yahoo this time- I'm just gonna use that fancy Meebo thing.

So, I lost all my MP3s, Shoddy teams that were on my laptop, all my WoW macros (which might be reinstalled at some later date), all my DMC4 data (which also needs to be reinstalled later when I feel like it), a handful of ROMs and a couple emulators, programs for TwilightHack (despite that Gecko is the new Twilight now), a great Stantler set for NU, and other things I probably won't regret until I actually remember what the hell they are.

From now on, I'm not gonna trust Kaspersky to run on its own. I'll do Quick Scans daily and Full Scans monthly, along with check for daily updates and scanning individual files that come in, like MP3s from friends and the likes.

That's just the price of an advanced diagnostic and reinstall of the operating system.

The Stop Error came up before I could even get to the desktop, meaning there was no possible way for me to do it myself.
