Rules of the Little Cup Dojo

These rules apply to EVERYONE:

-All Pokemon must be level 5.

-Item Clause is in effect.

-The moves Dragon Rage and Sonicboom are banned.

-Pokemon must have an evolved form and should be the first of an evolution chain (No Roselia, Chansey, Shuckle, etc.).

-All other standard clauses are still in place (see the Dojo Rules for more information).

Banned Pokemon:

-Scyther
-Murkrow
-Sneasel
-Tangela
-Yanma
-Meditite

Banned Items:

Deepseatooth

Roselia technically is stage one, even WITH Budew.

Scyther is specifically banned because he evolves, but he's too good for Little Cup.

Pokemon that can't evolve, such as Shuckle, Pinsir, and Kangaskhan are banned from Little Cup.

oh yeah syther evolves.. duh.. keep forgetting XD

He's too good for Little Cup and when allowed he centralizes the metagame.

An example:

Several months ago I decided to try out Little Cup battles and ended up entering three tournaments. These tournaments, unfortunately, didn't really have strict rules. ALL three tournament winners had a Scyther on their team. That's pretty much the norm for any tournaments that allow Scyther =/.

Besides, it won't kill you to put some creativity into your team.

If you feel like you must use Scyther then go join the UU Dojo.

anyway i have a pokemon that will bust Scyther's balls on my team and im not telling! atleast yet.

Sneasle won't be banned? I'd say he's right up there with Scyther, personally...

Sneasel (and Gligar) are kind of debated right now. Right now they're legal but if they prove too broken, they'll be banned. If we ban them, we'll probably just do a blanket ban on Pokemon who previously didn't evolve but evolve in fourth generation.

even though i use Sneasel, I admit its pretty cheap. Fast and Strong is a great combo in little cup. Gligar has the same problem. Sneasel could Rape Scyther and Gligar probably could too because they have insane movepools (better than scyther's) and great stats. i can find a replacement for sneasel on my team so i say ban it. and Gligar for that matter

Reasoning behind Clamperl is kinda the same for Latios and Latias with the Dew Drop or whatever. he has two hold items that raises his stats by x2 one does his Sp Def (deepseascale) and the other does x2 to his Sp Atk (Deepseatooth).

Sneasel has good typing, too...I see your point...If you're fine with it too then banning is probably a good idea...

Onix and Nosepass probably don't need to be banned, though. Onix has been around for a while and never dominated Little Cup. Nosepass is slow as hell and can't do much besides explode. His low hit points and ground/fighting weaknesses don't help his defensive capabilities. I'd like to allow those two and see how it goes...I doubt anyone will use them anyways. Little Cup has always been pretty offensive (which is why Pokemon like Sneasel and Scyther are so dangerous).

I meant to ban Clamperl but kind of forgot. Since it's usable in UU, anyways, I don't see a point in allowing it. With Trick Room set up, it'd rape everything with Deepseatooth.

I'm totally using a Nosepass now, that's a Pokemon I /always/ forget about xD
