These rules only apply to the leader and students of this dojo:
-You must pick a strategy to use out of the following:
Weather- Pick a kind of weather (dual-weather teams are fine too) and base a team around it. Using a Tyranitar or an Abomasnow does NOT make it a weather team. The majority (everyone doesn't have to) of your team should BENEFIT from the weather.
Example: A Rain Dance team could consist of Bronzong, Kingdra, Ludicolo, Swampert, Floatzel, and Raikou.
In the example team, three of the Pokemon have abilities that activate in the rain (Kingdra, Ludicolo, and Floatzel). Swampert prevents the team from having a weakness to electric attacks and his water moves are powered up. Raikou can fire 100% accurate Thunders. Bronzong doesn't directly benefit but he's not affected negatively either. He could also set up Rain Dance. Be creative and try out different combinations!
Trick Room/Gravity- Create a team that tries to abuse the move Trick Room or Gravity. At least two of your Pokemon should have Trick Room/Gravity and at least two of the others should BENEFIT from it.
Example: A Trick Room team could consist of Claydol, Porygon-2, Rhyperior, Exeggutor, Azumarill, and Metagross.
In the example team, multiple members can set up Trick Room and they all benefit from it. All of the Pokemon are slow enough to get a nice speed boost and Azumarill can use Aqua Jet when Trick Room isn't up (while Metagross has Bullet Punch).
Baton Pass- Create a team based around Baton Passing stat boosts. At least three of your Pokemon should have the move Baton Pass and they should be Baton Passing SOMETHING. Watch out for PHazers/Hazers and Taunt users...plan around them.
Example: A Baton Pass team could consist of Ninjask, Smeargle, Mr. Mime, Vaporeon, Absol, and Medicham.
In the example team, all of the Pokemon can technically Baton Pass (although Medicham would be more likely to be a recipient of boosts rather than a Baton Passer itself). The team has ways to deal with PHazing, thanks to Smeargle's Ingrain and Mr. Mime's Soundproof.
Status- Create a team based around a status problem, such as poison or paralysis. At least three of your Pokemon should have a status move (including moves such as Yawn and Toxic Spikes). Throwing random status moves onto Pokemon isn't allowed...you should have a strategy in mind.
Example: A paralysis team could consist of Zapdos, Togekiss, Starmie, Machamp, Rampardos, and Jirachi.
In the example team, most of the members can use Thunder Wave and/or Body Slam to cause paralysis. This works nicely with Machamp's Dynamic Punch to cause Parafusion. Jirachi and Togekiss can use Flinchax strategies with Zen Headbutt and Air Slash, respectively. Rampardos benefits because he now outspeeds your opponents' Pokemon and can sweep.
These rules only apply to challengers:
-You may use any Pokemon/moves legal in standard play (see the Dojo Rules for more information).
