Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
That fact that's actually scary is that Obama is giving tax breaks to a middle class that is, in effect, disappearing. So why do so at all? Sounds redundant to me....
The gap between 'rich' and 'poor' has actually been steadily increasing, with more of the population constituting these extremities rather than the 'middle' class.
This isn't only happening on a community scale, but on the regional, national and global scales as well.

But doing what he;s doing, he's trying to make it easy for lower class to become middle class, and harder for middle class to become lower class.

Actually, in a sense he's making it easier for middle class to become upper class and, since the tax breaks don't affect lower class, he's not making it easier for them, douche.

....Meh, but there can't be a place only full of high class, so people that used to be high class will be the new middle class. Middle class with be lower class, and lower class with be slaves.
The ones that have so much money that they are still high class with be called Gods, and will have slaves worshop them.
This is the dream on Obama.

It was ment more as a joke then anything.
Anywho, give Obama 4 years, lets see is Change works.
I'm tired of doing the same thing as the last 8 years myself.

Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
Oh lol, so you're voting for McCain out of spite for her losing to Obama? Don't get me wrong, Hillary was a good choice, but she just did not have any charisma. There's a reason why everyone called her frigid and cold, even if it was just to prove she's a strong woman, overcompensating like that has a tendency to bite you in the ass.
The Democratic party chose Obama over Hillary because he was the safer choice. They need to land this presidency more than ever, McCain used to be a "maverick" as he so enjoyed to call himself, but anyone can see that he won't mind dancing in the palm of his parties hand if he can become president. The sheer fact that he got Palin as his VP is proof of that, and just how cynical they are with this election. She has entirely no credentials, aside from being hot, the only this she brings to the table is she's relatively young, and she is a woman. This is basically saying that they aren't confident enough to win through solid, strong leaders, oh no, they need to have a gimmick VP to appeal to idiots who will vote for the team that looks better, and for jaded Hillary voters who want a justifiable reason to vote against their party.
And it seems like it's working.

Obama just has less qualifications than Palin. I mean, shit. At least she's in an executive position. He's seriously only wining because of youth culture's idiocy and nigras loving him.
Which is all good. But... I don't trust people my age to run a country, nor would I trust myself, and, well. The most violent demographic? nothx.
This, combined with his general newness make me super question his abilities.
At least Palin can pick up experience in the VP seat, and will be ready to lead if McCain gets re-elected, or elected at all.

Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
ok.. do i wana pay giant taxes and beable to marrie... or do i want no gay marrage and no high taxes... hmmmm
obama=gay rights and uping taxes. pulling out of iraq instantly...
McCain=no gay rights and no upping taxes. plus pulling out of iraq little by litte
that actually is a hard choice... I guess you have to ask yourself whats more important.
gay rights
the war
or taxes....
you can also take in to account that Obama cant even decide right for his children how will he decide right for a war? Im kinda for McCain only because he has experience. also take iin to account this is coming from me. a feminist lesbian woman (hence i should be for obama and the democratic people) Also im not really republican. Then again im not really Democrat either. Im kind of a mix.
as of who im voting for.. i'll probably write in mickey mouse or ron paul. either of them could probubly do a way better job than hillary, obama and McCain combined anyways. they are all losers.

Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
McCain has never given a concrete answer about gay marriage, simply because if he says he supports it, his party will crucify him, and if he says he does not, he loses any hope for the gay vote. It's a precarious situation for him, and with the most vocal members of his party frowning upon such travesty against their god, I can't see much progress being made in that direction if he becomes president, simply because his own party would ostracize him if he tried to.

It'll be like John Adams all over again, except with gay marriage.

Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
I think gay people are just being emo about marriage.
I'm with Zack. I don't really care about the marriage aspect. Basically, it's an "I love you" with chains and some minor financial benefits. S'not a big deal.

Re: Paris Hilton for.... President?
I always thought the argument for gay marriage was because it was something denied to a group of people simply because it's "deviant behavior", or sacrilegious. It's bigotry, in religious standards it's stating that in the eyes of god, you are unfit to be bound to another person of same sex, at one point even compared to beastiality.
Of course, on the flip side of that, I'm glad gays aren't bitching and moaning about such a thing oppressing them like feminist when it comes to everything inconvenient to them in the history of goddamn forever.

Unless they are gay wemon.
They it's shotgun to the head time.
Anywho, as fun as stating this was, no one gives a fuck about gay's marrying.
They just want to be able to have the same rights as everyone else.
Most black people don't give a shit on voting, (Unless they are voting for Obama) but they want to have the same rights as white people.
His taxes wouldn't be thaqt much higer, and for every day in this war, do you know how much we spend?
It's fucking killing us.
