Pokemon VGC

Dont know if anyone has posted this but here goes...has anyone actually gone to the pokemon championships they held last year? If so do you know how thorough their legality checker is and can pokesav pass it? Just wondering so i can spend more time "really" preparing for it.

Pokesav alone won't pass, no, unless you're lucky.

My friend used hacked Pokemon but he had the help of someone who can program and was able to change the actual hex values.

hmm...i suspected i would have to use more programmer-based changes but whatever. I will most likely just train them on my own...or eventually get off my lazy butt and really put my head into pokesav...like that will happen...

Unless you have an extensive knowledge of how Pokemon are programmed, I wouldn't mess with Pokesav. The person who helped my friend is an actual programmer (and a Smogon staff member).

Now, some might consider this cheating but you could do this: Hack some Pokemon with perfect IVs and the egg moves you need. Use those to breed your VGC Pokemon (all hacking should be done on the game card you won't be using). Yeah, it's probably against the rules but hey XD. It'll still take some time to get the right IVs but it'll be faster. You could also look into RNG abuse.

If I was going to enter I'd probably just breed some myself. Perfect IVs won't be too necessary.

Oh god RNG abuse...so extensive for my procrastinating mind lol. But yeah it was more for getting pokes that it would take time to get...like a OU legendary or something. I am already trying to breed good pokes and so far i got myself a modest 31 sp att. and 27 spd horsea which is good...but if anything ill try your hack/breed idea...eventually
