    Wii Stolen Empty Wii Stolen

Post by Ninja Tue Dec 02, 2008 8:31 pm

Well, since I can't post in news this goes here.

Yeah, title pretty much says it all. I'm not making this thread to bitch or complain, though I am upset.

I'm advising all of you who were registered as PBR friends or Brawl Friends to take me off your friends list, to be safe.

Unless you can, you know, somehow hack into the person's internet and use that to track them down.

    Sad times Sad
The downside to the size of the Wii, it can be stolen far easier than other consoles.

    Unlucky man.

    Our house got broken into.

Well, in actuality only our garage got broken into. The game room is connected to the side of it.

They also took all of our Wiimotes+Nunchucks and the Wii games.

Our Gamecube memory cards were in it, and they made off with those as well. We still have all of our Gamecube games and controllers, but we gave away our GC about a year ago, so....yeah.

My dad's mountain bike and my mom's tennis racquet were also taken.

Fortunately, they didn't seem very smart, as they left a whole bunch of fingerprints and a handprint. Might have just been a stupid kid. We called the Sheriff's office and they sent a guy who took the prints, but in all honesty I really have no idea if they are going to help or not; it's only a house robbery, and all of the (provable) costs don't amount to more than about $600-700, the police probably have more serious things to deal with. The mountain bike was expensive (apparently $1,100 o_0) but we bought it such a long time ago that its absolute value is indeterminable at the moment.

At least we have rentor's insurance.

Big citys means that they have bigger problems.

Good idea. While we do nothing, want to go plant a knife on some black guy and then shoot him?

    Hell yes.

This is the life of a cop, so it must be close to a sheriff.

You probably won't see it again. My parents hired a cleaner a couple of years back, and later they discovered their bank account was a bit low. As it turns out, over the course of several months, the cleaner found their checkbook, and siphoned over $30,000 from them. Apparently paid off their mortgage and refinanced a car with it.

My mom, apparently being where I get my vindictive asshole behaviorism, bought a bunch of software and shit to find all the information on his family, got everything down to the high school he attended as a kid, proceeded to STAKE OUT their goddamn house one night, released it to the detective on the case, and two years later, my parents have heard nothing. They got nearly all the cash back from the bank because it was primarily the banks fault, but that's just putting into perspective the effectiveness of the police. If they don't even have the resources to make an arrest that easily qualifies for grand theft when everything is handed to them, breaking and entering, stealing probably around ~$5,000 worth of items is going to be low on their "To Do" list.
