Rules:

-All battles will be held on SHODDY BATTLE on the Smogon Server. This is an online Pokemon battler simulator that can be downloaded here: http://shoddybattle.com/downloads . It's an easy program to use but if you need any help, feel free to PM me.

-Standard clauses are in effect, this means Evasion/OHKO/Self KO/Sleep/Species. See the Rules for more information.

-The tournament will be double-elimination, meaning that you'd have to lose twice in order to be totally knocked out. However, if we have less than six entrants I might just make it single-elimination instead.

-NO SCOUTING OTHER TEAMS. This means that you shouldn't ask someone about what Pokemon their opponent used in order to gain information. Watching your opponents' battles on Shoddy under a different name is included under this rule...just don't do it.

Prizes:

First Prize: 15000 yen, a trophy displayed in your profile, and a Pokemon with a new Platinum move in honor of the game coming out (a Scizor with Bullet Bunch, a Honchkrow with Superpower, a Crobat with Heat Wave, etc.). I own Platinum and the Pokemon will be legit. If you want specific IVs, feel free to trade me one of your current Pokemon to tutor.

Second Prize: 10000 yen, a trophy displayed in your profile, and a Gengar with Trick or a Lucario with Ice Punch (your choice). They'll be clones of Pokemon I have bred already.

Third Prize: 5000 yen and a trophy displayed in your profile.

This tournament is in honor of Platinum coming out and the new moves it brought with it. Since Platinum hasn't been released outside of Japan yet, this will give everyone an opportunity to try out new Platinum-based strategies and use Pokemon like Sky Forme Shaymin and the Rotom forms. This tournament also gives players a chance to participate who don't have access to wifi since battles will take place on a simulator.

I have a Jap rom and almost no knowledge of the Japanese language and I can still figure it out.

Skymin is Uber, the Rotom forms are BL. So using Skymin will be illegal, if not then I quit. Also, can it be a UU Tournament? I really don't want to battle the same Pokemon over and over again.

Skymin isn't Uber. I'm on Smogon a lot, "almost everyone" doesn't agree with you o_0. I'd say it's split about 50/50..either way, it's too early to even decide.

And no, it won't be an UU tournament. We just had one, you could have entered if you wanted *shrug*.

Don't worry too much about Skymin, it isn't THAT scary. If you're worried then bring something like Zapdos, Registeel, or Blissey. I don't even use any so-called "Skymin counters" and I play around it just fine =).
