Just go to the menu and click Save? XD That's how I saved. You must've not allowed it to finish saving.

Why does it matter anyways? Oh also, whenever entering a Gym or Pokecenter for the first time. You will notice a swift shadow appear in a random corner of the screen.

Prinplup doesn't learn Metal Claw when it evolves. I have a ton of screens but Photobucket is down at the moment :<
Edit: I'm currently in Floaroma, as I expected you can't get the Glacidia Flower until you beat the E4. Caught a Shellos, both entrances of Floaroma has banners. Got a TM in a house, I took some other shots also but I can't remember @_@
