So, I made a team of unexpectedness (Special Attacking Machamp, Special Wallkou, Crit Hax Octillery, etc) built around the element of surprise and that one actually was pretty successful, so I decided to make another one a while back, and I haven't used it much since. I'm just putting this RMT up to see what everyone thinks, lulz. I might make a whole new one soon; I already have a few ideas to test...
Bronzong (Reverse) @ Choice Band
Brave, Heatproof
-Earthquake
-Explosion
-Gyro Ball
-Faint Attack
252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 Def
It's a lead Bronzong, so everyone expects it to set up, right? Wrong! =P
I'mma try some reverse psychology here (thus the name =K), so since everyone usually assumes that Bronzong will have Levitate, I'm going to use Heatproof and give myself more coverage, despite the actuality of giving myself less coverage. Nifty mindgamez.
Blissey (Meiosis) @ Choice Specs
Modest, Serene Grace
-Charge Beam
-Ice Beam
-Flamethrower
-Shadow Ball
252 S.Atk, 252 S.Def, 4 HP
Serene Grace Specs abuse, hooray! Seriously, if you /predict/ this, you're pretty weirdor you're fighting Ryu. BoltBeam is nice, Flamethrower for Burn, Shadow Ball for S.Def drops. Its HP is already uber high, so I didn't feel the need to add more into it. Physical attacks will severely maim it, though, even more than usual because of no Def EVs or HP EVs. Should I move some/all EVs from S.Def to Def?
Starmie (Astra) @ Focus Sash
Quiet, Natural Cure
-Psychic
-Surf
-Thunderbolt
-Trick Room
252 HP, 252 S.Atk, 4 Def
Since this Starmie has no need for speed (lulz, NFS) and in fact wants the lowest speed possible, the EVs can be invested into its HP (or its defenses). Since I less than three Trick Room, I had to use this. I already have a real Starmie that's like this (except for the IVs), so naturally the idea was already there and I implemented it in this team. We'll see how it works. =P
Debating whether or not to change the Sash to an Iron Ball, just to make this work better after TR is actually set up. Sash will get TR up more reliably, but Iron Ball will let Starmie be more effective afterwards, even though it only has 211 Speed right now.
Sandslash (Fiend) @ Leftovers
Impish, Sand Veil
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-Swords Dance
-X-Scissor
252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Atk
Okay, so this isn't that unexpected, but I think that most people underestimate Sandslash because he's not very common. SD up, then kill things. I actually have a Sandslash on my first Unexpected team, but it's a different set, and it's from D/P, so I also have an updated Platinum version of that team. Naturally, the Sandslash there is different from the D/P Sandslash. =D
I lurve Sandslash. ;D
Blaziken (Cogburn) @ Life Orb
Quiet, Blaze
-Brick Break
-Bulk Up
-Heat Wave
-Earthquake
252 HP, 252 S.Atk, 4 Def
I'm running out of ideas? Not quite! This thing actually did well on a different team, so I put it in here. Mixer Blaziken, lulz. Dies to Special Attacks, though. D=
Dusknoir (Nocturne) @ Leftovers
Bold, Pressure
-Ice Beam
-Charge Beam
-Shadow Ball
-Calm Mind
252 HP, 252 S.Atk, 4 Def
Lulz, a Sassy Dusknoir. o_0
This is actually a different Dusknoir than the one I thought I had, which was a CM 'Noir, but it was on the Shoddy Team so I dunno *shrugs*. I still have yet to find out exactly what is so unexpected about it....I might look around to see if the CM one is part of my other teams and then put it in to be not un-unexpected. >_>
There, I fixed it to CM 'Noir. BoltBeeeeeeam. I chose Charge Beam instead of HP Electric because extra S.Atk boosts are always nice. =D
I was thinking about putting on Will-o-Wisp for extra defense, but I don't really want to get rid of Shadow Ball, which is strange. o_0
Maybe it's because it feels like too much setting up? Or maybe it's because Will-o-Wisp has kinda iffy accuracy...
