Species: Vaporeon Attack Power: 7 Special Attack: Deal 3 damage. If your opponent deals more than 15 damage, take -20 damage. If your opponent deals more than 10 damage, take -15 damage. If your opponent deals less than 10 damage, take -5 damage. If your opponent deals 5 or less damage, there will be no added effect. Ability: If your opponent deals exactly 14 or 15 damage, take -6 damage.

Species: Charizard Attack Power: 12 Special Attack: If you roll a 6, deal 20 damage. Otherwise, deal 5. Ability: If your opponent rolls a six, Charizard gets +2 attack for his REGULAR attack.

Just saying, The odds are, like, HUGELY in Sami's favor.

Even if sage used her SA and gets a 6, as long as vap doesn't roll a 1 or 2 it'll be her win/tie.

ok so I do 5 damage....

You actually do 6 damage before factoring in my boosts. Your attack did 5 and your roll added +1. Not that it matters, though ^^;.

Attack (3)+Roll (1)=4

I do 4 damage, but my Special Attack lowers your damage by 5.

So in the end...

You do 1 damage and I do 4, so I win this round.

yeah there is no way to win this... vaporion should be banned... lol the only way you can win is if you roll a one on a normal attack that does 4... I mean who would do anything but its special?

If you roll a 4, then she'll still tie you by rolling a one...XD

It's called a bad match-up, there have been plenty of them. I knew you'd pick a hard-hitting Pokemon, so I picked a defensive Pokemon. That doesn't mean Vaporeon should be banned, it just means you ended up at a disadvantage. Remember, this game is pretty much glorified rock-paper-scissors.

There are so many ways to beat Vaporeon that it would take a while for me to list them. However, Charizard itself doesn't have much of a chance. Kinda like how Flygon's Special counters Togekiss or how Gengar's ability makes Jumpluff useless. Or how Froslass just needs to roll an even number to beat Slaking every time.

Some Pokemon just can't beat each other--it's the same in the game. Let's be honest--in the game, can a Jolteon beat a Blissey? Or can an Azelf beat a Tyranitar? Can Shedinja beat Hippowdon? I'd say those match-ups are strongly in the favor of certain Pokemon...

Take a look at the match-up I had against Shine in our first Profile Pokemon tournament. I was the first to get knocked out of the tournament because I had picked Typhlosion---normally a decent choice, but it can't do much to the hard-hitting Granbull. However, I didn't suggest Granbull should be banned, because that'd be silly. I just got a bit unlucky with the match-up, it happens.

Seeing as Sami and I have so many pokemon, I could pick TTar, and she'll kill me with Vap, or I could use Lucario to counter it.
