    Discharge.

In a doubles battle, give one of your pokemon that, so It can make Electivre faster, and hurt the other pokemon.

    Mabye Porygon Z.

    Oh crap, didn't see it.

Well, Having Raichu know 3 electric type moves, and one water, is a bit silly.

Go with EVING SPEED AND SA, and get rid of volt tackle.

    No EV spreads or items?

I'm not sure Sunny Day's really all that important or helpful for this team.

Venusaur could probably do with Sleep Powder and HP Fire over Grass Knot and Sunny Day. MOST things that Grass Knot hit would be hit harder or just as hard by Energy Ball, and Venusaur himself doesn't really benefit from Sunny Day, anyway.

Moves like Hyper Beam often end in disaster, so Magmortar would probably prefer Thunderbolt. As for Solarbeam, Magmortar would probably sooner enjoy Focus Blast.

A Gengar without Shadow Ball is a sad Gengar indeed. I'd replace Dark Pulse for it. Explosion's fine, but a Timid nature reduces Atk, so you might wanna run a Hasty or Naive nature instead. Drain Punch won't do it much good, honestly, so it might be better to give it Substitute, or Focus Blast. Sludge Bomb could go for Focus Blast, too.

Three Electric attacks on Raichu is just overdoin' it. Thunderbolt would do you best, since you really don't have many Pokemon to resist Discharge. Yeah, Electivire benefits from it, but if Electivire goes down, everything else on your team becomes vulnerable to its own team mate's attacks. The same can be said about Surf- it's really not worth the Hardy nature. You'd probably be best off running a Timid nature with T-Bolt, Hidden Power Ice, Focus Blast, and Grass Knot or Substitute.

    Electivire's fine.

Dragonite would rather have Fire Punch or Superpower over Focus Blast, and probably Dragon Dance over Sunny Day. As for nature, probably Adamant or Jolly would serve it best.

Someone else can go over team weaknesses and such. I'm watchin' a movie. =O

    Zapdos@Choice Scarf/Life Orb
    Pressure
    252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed
    Jolly
    - Discharge
    - Hidden Power Grass
    - Heat Wave
    - U-Turn

    &

    Electivire@ChoiceBand/LifeOrb
    Motor Drive
    252 Atk, 252 Speed
    Adamant
    - Thunder Punch
    - Ice Punch
    - Cross Chop
    - Earthquake

Analysis The fact that these two Pokémon will be out at the same time, and be able to pull this off is slim so I suggest using these as leads. At the Choice sets, the Scarf ensures Zapdos the first attack at using Discharge which in turn will speed up Electivire to sweeping potential. Electivire gets pretty high attack from that ChoiceBand, and can start hammering in Earthquakes like there's no tomorrow. Zapdos doesn't take any damage from Earthquake being a Flying-type. Rinse and repeat. Major concern is Claydol, Levitate makes Earthquake miss and it isn't effected by Discharge. Although, I've never seen many Claydol in Doubles myself, but please let this be to your interpretation. With the Life Orb, if Claydol comes along Electivire can simply 2-3HKO it with Ice Punch or Zapdos could U-Turn out.

Zapdos isn't just "better." There are differences that set them apart from each other. For instance, yeah, Zapdos can run a Scarf, but Rotom forms can Trick that Scarf off to something else.

Just because Zapdos has higher stats, it doesn't mean that it's better. Look at Slaking- it has, like, the best stats ever. It's relatively high in EVERYTHING, but it sucks, because it has a crappy ability.

Also, if you were paying attention to the thread, that's the whole point of having the Zapdos on the team, so it can Discharge E-Vire...
