If it was me, I'd say "4 and Odd" so I had a good chance of dealing more damage.

That's not how it works.

It's like this: You say "4" and if the number was even, you get the boost. You can't say something like "4 and odd" since, well, you'd get at least one boost pretty much every time :p.
