It wasnt as bad as Eragon (also forced to go see) but it was still just another crappy movie version of a book.

I didn't see the movie.

My parents did.

And my friends.

They all said it wasn't good, other then my dad, who said eatting shit for an hour and a half would have been much more fun.

I heard if your a fan of the books you hate the movie.... if you've never read the books you'll probubly like it or think its ok.

if you've been tormented by fan girls for the past year or so about the books AND the movie... well then you'll just want to puke if you see it.

I read it; it's really not good.

It's so unrealistic, even the Sailor Moon anime looks believable compared to it.

If thats what you think, then good.

Sparkling vampires? The main of which is a creepy stalker to the lead female character, who just happens to be a self-insert of the author herself? I like vampire stories myself, but the way she portrays vampires makes me facepalm so hard that it left a mark on my face for like three months.

The sunlight is kinda gay, but everything else was great...for a love story.

The love story part was dumb....but still, everything else is writen in win.

There's nothing in any of the books that can't be directly traced back to the main characters' love.

I'm not being an asshole just to be an asshole(this time). Everyone is free to like this book, but it's an insult to the truly good writers to call this series high quality writing. In good writing there are rules like, “Never use a long word where a short one will do” and “If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.”

MEANWHILE, IN MORMON MARY SUE LAND, I read an article that there are 111 instances of the word "murmur" and its variations in whichever book number Breaking Dawn is. It's bad writing, plain and simple. I'm sure it's entertaining for a lot of people, considering the amount of fans she has, but you would be hard pressed to find a literary professor of any sort to claim she is a master of diction.

I'm not saying shes a master.

Really, shes rather on par with most people.

Just, vampires have been done to death, so a few new ideas are good.

Even if shes trying a bit to hard, it's still good.

I don't understand all the hype. I was recommended the books a few years ago but I never read them. Unfortunately, I have too much penis to ever be suckered into this particular fad, as does every other male.

I never bothered to read them. They looked pretty bad, and all the hype just made me not want to see it even more. :\

Oddly, the books do brink on being truly epic, I could tell when I read them.

All she needed was a non-religious peer-editor who's like the comic book guy of vampires, and then someone with a good ol' thesaurus handy.
