NU Metagame

Who here would be interesting in play-testing an NU metagame? We'd be starting a small challenge section, similar to the main Dojo Challenge. Matches can be on Shoddy Battle or WiFi, with WiFi being the first choice if possible (if you don't have/don't like Shoddy, you'll never be forced to play on there).

The NU list would be the UU list, but with all popular Pokemon cut out (no Steelix, Weezing, Claydol, Scyther, Rotom, Altaria, etc.). From there, we'd play NU matches and figure out which Pokemon are over-centralizing/over-used. Those Pokemon would be banned and we'd keep playing until, well, we have a playable metagame :p. Standard clauses would be in effect, although we can certainly discuss them and decide if any should be discarded/added. Stealth Rock MAY end up being banned. That will be a discussion for another day.

Sadly, to make this work, we really need a decent number of people. If I don't get enough replies, we can't really do this.

And I'm already putting my vote in to ban SR. Too many Bug types and Flying types will be in the end list, like Beedrill, Dustox, etc. Because of that, we may wanna take out Delibird, too. A Scarfed, Hustler Delibird could probably sweep half a team.

But keep SR, since even without it, Bug/Flying pokeymanz aren't too popular.

This is NU. Bug/Flying Pokemon will pretty much be all that's left by the time it's de-centralized. :\

Although the actual challenge won't be ready until later this week, feel free to have some casual NU matches (it'll help a lot). All I ask is that you PLEASE record each match, saying which Pokemon were used on both sides and any trends you noticed =). This will come into play later. If you use Shoddy, save all logs. Thanks!

Wow, all the Pokemon I had on my team from that PokeWiFi NU tourney are legal. I s'pose I'll go ahead and try that first. Errr, basically, I can start immediately. XD

Too bad that Whiscash didn't go quite as well as I'd hoped it would.

Also, as many Poison types as there may be for Toxic immunity, I don't think anything but a Specs Octillery or something could scrape Shuckle. Any other damage I'm fairly certain it could just rest off, including Toxic.
