    Ok, I got this new cell phone, and found out I could check my e-mail on it.

    So, it turned out that in 30 days, if i check my e-mail 1-5 times each day, and you don't have a plan for this, it cost alot of money

    $1000 phone bill, thankyouveryfuckingmuch.

    All that stupid fancy shit on phones are worthless.

    I don't text, I don't check my email, I don't use the internet, I don't take pictures, nothing like that.

    ... And my cellphone bill is almost non-existent. <3

    Phones are for calling people. Nothing more.

    i have a text package and a media package and my phone bill is like 80 bucks a month and i can download and be on the internet as much as i want. i love my phone. Texting is pretty much a necessity for me now though. i used to hate it ,but i have a phone with a keyboard so it makes things a million times easier.

    I like texting because I generally communicate better with words on paper/screen than if I vocalize them.

    Plus I had an ex who was the type of person who made a two minute call a twenty minute one. "I'll be there in ten" suddenly segues into "So, how was your day/how are you feeling/want to do something today/tomorrow/the day after"/Her views on various arbitrary subjects/etc.

    I don't need that shit every time someone calls me, we can discuss such things face to face rather than hold a damn phone to my head and talk AT me ad nauseum. Texting accomplishes this for me by pretty much forcing the sender to be concise for efficiency and speed purposes.
