Actually, no. He had a pretty solid team to me. They had appropriate moves, and I could tell that they had the right EV spreads. He's only had Shoddy for about two days, but he had done competitive battling before then on his DS, of course... We actually had a nice chat afterword. He joked that Kricketune should be uber. XD;;
Sadly, I have no video proof. I remember pretty much how the battle went down, though.
I was able to Toxic the Spiritomb with Luvdisc before it Taunted me and forced me to switch... I got really lucky, though, with how his Will-O-Wisp missed about three turns in a row as I switched out to Ledian, Protected to stall for Toxic, and then BP'd an Agility to Kricketune. I think his next Pokemon that came out was Dugtrio, for a revenge kill on Kricketune, but thanks to Agility (Dugtrio wasn't scarfed, surprisingly), I was able to outrun it with Sing (hax, lawl), get in TWO Sword Dances, and sweep the Metagross that switched in, and the Starmie. Then Swampert came out, I took down about half its health with X-Scissor, and it Roar'd, so... Wait, who came out... I think Spinda was forced out... But yeah, I used Fake Out, I remember, because he asked me if it was Banded. But yeah, Fake Out, then Trick Room (he EQ'd and took me down to one HP with Focus Sash), and I finished it with Flail. Somewhere before this point, Farfetch'd had already been taken out, by the way... I can't remember how, really. BUT, onward. Cress came out and finished off Spinda...
By this point, Farfetch'd and Spinda are down, Kricketune's at 50% HP (if he's alive at all... can't remember), Ledian's at ONE percent while he's got a full HP Cress and a sleeping Dugtrio. So, I send out Luvdisc to deal with Cress, knowing it'll certainly outlast Kricketune, Ledian, or Glalie... My best chance against it was to Toxistall, and Toxistall I did. It wouldn't have mattered if I had Sub'd first, since Trick Room was still up, so I used Sweet Kiss and confused it- bingo. Sadly, I still got paralyzed by T-Wave... BUT, in Trick Room, it KINDA worked to my advantage. I got to get in the Toxic while confusion kept me safe, and after that, I set up a Sub, and went between Toxic and Sub until it finally fell. What with all the confusion and paralysis, it took pretty long, but after that, it was lookin' all right with a sleeping Dugtrio on the field. Of course, I may as well try to get what I can out of Luvdisc... So I set up Attract, Sweet Kiss, and then died.
... Sadness.
Of course, I've got one more trick up my sleeve (despite my wearing a T-shirt *chuckle*). So I send out Ledian, and... I Encore his MISSED Stone Edge! At this point, I let Ledian die next turn to Stone Edge, send out Kricketune (not wanting to send out my last resort), but it goes down, too (and right after I had gotten in a Swords Dance while Dug hit itself. ><; ), and finally, out comes Glalie... Glalie's trick? Choice Scarf, of course, and Dugtrio can't Sucker Punch, thanks to Ledian's dying applause. I Ice Beam, and it's my game.
I swear, it was so epic. Since then, I've lost every other match with this team, but it's still fun to use, and I'm proud to say that I won this battle. XD
