    Ethernet Empty Ethernet

I really don't understand how there are campuses out there without WiFi. Ethernet sucks. The campus here only has WiFi in a select few buildings >_>;. I hate having to use a cable, it's dumb. It's also dumb how the network doesn't let you on unless ALL firewalls/virus scans/etc. on your laptop are updated. Even stupid free ones you never use, regardless of whether or not you have a similar one that IS updated.

I do approve of the Starbucks, though, even if it's too expensive and I miss Dunkin Donuts XD. I also approve of the microscopes, the Farmer's Market, and the beaches (even if all I'm doing there is photographing/measuring rocks and catching shore crabs).

I'm not that upset, just in a mood to complain :p. Although this is starting to sound positive so I'll throw in a "their computers are outdated and running XP!" and a "there are creepy rabbit people furries paintings/sculptures!".

The antivirus thing is incredibly stupid, but I suppose they don't want idiots accidentally spreading a virus around their LAN like the clap.

I'd kill for ethernet here though, they give us only one option for an internet connection, and it's incredibly lackluster. The Master Sergeant actually said with a total straight face that they did that because airmen would abandon their duties to play World of Warcraft all day. I'd like to act righteously indignant, but given the chance, I'd probably dick around on the internet all day if it was fast too.

We actually have planned to pool together a couple hundred dollars to buy enough fiber optics cable to reach a router in the dorm, to a friends house on base. Your tax dollars at work, folks.

So it's purposely slow and crappy? That sucks.

    Haha, that's awesome.

I was catching shore crabs at the beach the other day! ;D

We dug a giant hole and threw all the ones we could catch into it. xD

I haven't had much experience with Ethernet, except for a few times when I've had to use it in hotel rooms. It didn't /seem/ too bad, in my opinion. I guess it was a bit slower, though...

It gets even more fun when you have to get every single one under a rock or throw out your data >_>. Yeah, they don't like being exposed XD.

One of my lab partners has to scrape eggs off females and count them (40k+) after taking microscope photos...

So I feel that I landed the better experiment :p.

xD Yes, I would have to agree with you there.

The most tedious thing I ever had to do in AP Bio was sex, categorize and count fruit flies for a trait test cross experiment, but it wasn't really that bad. Especially with Fly-Nap. =P

Oh yeah, I remember that stuff, lol. My lab group was the only one with a dihybrid cross and we were pissed :p. Easy experiment, though, and the lab report was simple. Overall I liked the genetics unit.
