7 tools wastes your life points though.
I mean, Trap Jammer you have to discard a card but it's really not as bad.

Re: Attention Duelists...
pfft... 1000 life points is a fine cost. Losing a card that you could have used for something else is worse.

Re: Attention Duelists...
What if it wasn't a card that served a purpose any longer?

Re: Attention Duelists...
If you have cards that don't serve a purpose and can't be used at any time, you're not building your decks correctly. This is why my old beat-down deck won 9/10. Each card was just as important as the last. So let me give you an example. It's the same reason why my Different Demention Dragon deck only one half the time. One needed a set up or several (albeit, once set up wrecked house and I was literally invincible). But all it took in the mean time was a simple dark hole or pitfall trap to ruin it.
What's a better sacrifice:
1000 Life points to stop my mirror force or dropping a Cyber Jar to the grave yard? Yeah. Either way you're losing potential monsters, but if I have a field with just ONE 1900, you might as well sac the life points and hope I don't get another 1900 monster (or worse, 5) when I bash your Cyber Jar's face in. What if you too have a mirror force in your hand? Is throwing it away better than losing 1000 of your life points?
Hell. I'd gladly throw away points over an option any time. What if the card that's no longer useful, is useful the VERY NEXT TURN? Welcome to kick yourself town. Population: the guy who threw away the card he COULD have won the game with.

Re: Attention Duelists...
No, I meant if the card was part of a combo but the other part was removed from play.

That's one card game that never interested me. Ever. I even played the Lord of the Rings TCG.
