Actually, I find it to be quite enthralling. Akira fans may also be interested in Fire Candy for its modern, post-apocalyptic sorta feel- it just makes life look sorta trashy. It's a nice style of art, too; always busy, never quite boring- if anything, it's a tad excessive, though the attention to detail is nice. I also like how the author isn't afraid to explore modern taboo, like drugs, violence, and prostitution. Again, while excessive at some points, it really brings life into the comic.

So far, my favorite character is likely Haru- not because he's such a sexual character (as many would likely suspect of me), but because he represents a classic fantasy theme in that not everything is quite what it seems. Also, he has the most interestingly drawn expressions to me, and they really seem to evoke his cat ancestry in their unique sharpness.

My opinion? It's a little graphic for my tastes (BOOBS ARE EVERYWHERE), but in general, it's something I'd enjoy looking into more.

I approve.

EDIT:
On a side note, it makes me happy to see A Clockwork Orange poster in Lloyd's office, even if the movie did kinda suck compared to the novel.
