Leaving for Tucson, AZ for a little over a week tomorrow via AIRPLANE. Be back on the 31st if I don't die. Love you all, bye!

I fly too often for it to be an extraordinary experience.

Re: Gone till the 31st
Planes are actually pretty safe forms of transportation, don't pop a blood vessel if you hit some shaky areas.
I hope you're not flying coach though, shitsux.

Re: Gone till the 31st
i figure i better not fly too much, because eventually my luck will run out.... I mean how crazy is huraling a big steel bird hundreds of miles an hour thousands of feet above the ground...? plus im always treated like a terrorist when I go.... Like a 5 foot 3inch 120lb white chick is going to bomb a fucking plane....maybe its the leather jacket? LOL the only consolation I have is getting pat down by a hott chick...
Flying in general I LOVE though. I litterally stare out the window the whole time. LOL

Re: Gone till the 31st
I don't mind flying, we typically do it every year (except this one)
I'm terrified of crossing bridges though.

Re: Gone till the 31st
IMO, flying is probably safer than driving.

Statistically true, actually, when you compare the number of deaths/accidents of each.

Re: Gone till the 31st
I'm sure the survival rate of car accidents is much higher.

But since there are so few plane accidents compared to car accidents, you still have a higher chance of dying when you get in a car >_>.

Also, with cars you can get out, planes = stranded.
I understand the fears about it, they're logical instead of statistical.

It doesn't depend on the driver, you're depending more on the millions of OTHER drivers.
I don't know, planes seem pretty safe compared to other vehicles. If someone is THAT paranoid maybe they should just walk everywhere (and even then something could happen, oh noes).
But meh, it's common to be afraid if you don't fly often. I understand that. However, lemme just say this: I have flown on 50+ planes (more than that but I don't want to count, rofl). I've never been in any sort of plane accident. I have, however, been in three car crashes (none of which had to do with the driver of the vehicle I was in). I'm not afraid of either vehicle.

It didn't hurt, was the back end of a car with nothing in it.
It hurt more when my fingers got slammed in the car door.

Re: Gone till the 31st
I'd rather experience a plane crash than a severe car crash, I don't want to wake up three weeks later paralyzed from the neck down, unaware that I have soiled myself and eating through a tube.

Re: Gone till the 31st
Yeah, but what if you survive the plane crash and you're stuck on life support? If your family doesn't let them pull the plug then you get to spend forever in a large amount of pain.
...so yeah.
...so yeah.

Re: Gone till the 31st
The odds of surviving a plane crash is pretty slim, if I lived through that, then I just have shitty luck.

Yeah, but chances are if you're in a car crash you'll either die or be fine.
