That's because you're rolling with the thread option--it's a weird option that we can't disable on the forum but it's REALLY glitchy.

Instead, use this code:

[roll="Attack"]*[/roll]

Put how many dice you want to roll instead of the *. That should work =).

You go by your roll when you first post. Your first roll on this thread was 6 (when you were having issues). Since you have an old rod, you need an even number to hook something.

That means you did indeed hook something and your numbers add up to 13, which is Surskit. Surskit requires a chain of 2 to catch so you'll need to get two even numbers in a row now.
