Summer Plans?

Well, the end of the school year is approaching, and I thought it would be nice to know what everyone is planning on doing over the summer. =P

My last day of school is June 4th, which is still a month away but I don't think I'll be doing much until then.

After that, I'm going to Honors Camp in Talahassee for a week, and then when I get back I'm possibly going to band camp for a week. =D

Sometime during the summer I'm going to be visiting colleges, but we don't have it all planned out yet. I want to visit Duke, MIT, Penn, Yale and possibly Rochester (even though I don't really like the thought of living in New York, lulz).

Then in July I'm going to a Leadership Seminar at University of Notre Dame that I got accepted to (the one that I was complaining about the "essay" submission in the Vents and Rants, if anyone recalls).

It looks like after that I'll be flying to San Diego to wait while my dog's quarantine period runs out so that she can travel to Hawaii, because we're moving there. =/

School in Hawaii starts in late July ,which sucks ass, so this will be the shortest summer that I've ever had. Lame.

It'll be nice to see some of my old friends in San Diego while we're there, though.

It also doesn't look like I'll be able to take some of the AP classes that I was planning to take since the school in Hawaii doesn't offer a couple which also sucks ass, like AP Physics. T_T


So, there's my current summer+beginning of school year plan. At least I can hold on to the hope that when I go to college I won't have to deal with so much crap. ;P

Well, my Summer's gonna be a lot less exciting than yours, I can say that much...

I'll be going to college during the Summer and STILL attempting to get a job so that I can pay for... A trip some place. Visit a friend.

Just about all my efforts are goin' towards that trip... ^^

I'm going to El Paso, Texas.

I will also lie around on my couch, play vidjeo gamez and eat large quantities of simple sugars.

well im going to florida for about a week. then im going to try to talk my parents into bringing me to visit family in st louis for trading card game national championships.

An online friend of mine who I've known for 6+ years is going to be visiting nearby (well, NJ) with another online friend of mine in June. So I'll be visiting both of them =).

Hopefully I'll also be going to visit El Paso, TX at some point--but money is tight right now so I dunno.

Like Shine, I will also be looking for a job.

well working my ass off I guess... maybe I'll make it to FL in june for a weekend and go to disney with some friends...

Ninja, that sounds more like telling us how much better you life is then ours, and how smarter you are then anything.

I'm doing work, so I can get money.

Same as every summer.

Because the recession is still going strong, and considering my age, my pride makes me refuse handouts from my parents, unless something changes before the end of the summer, I'll be enlisted in the Air Force. Finishing up my Bachelor's, and with all my scholarships depleted, shitty wages are not going to cover my Master's and eventual PhD.

Not that it's really a bad thing, the sheer fact that I am in the AF and I scored high in every aptitude test means I won't see a single fucking hour of foreign soil unless I choose to, hello office job.
