I think it's just the feeling of knowing that I'm losing my friends, slowly. All of my friends are slowly dissolving into people I don't know. And it makes me very, very....sad.

Sounds about right. I'm not in contact with a single person I knew in high school. They either became hopeless addicts, 20 year old parents, moved to another state, or I just do not like them anymore. Drawing cocks on tables and other peoples notebooks loses its appeal after high school, and by extension, the main thing that connected us all, phallic obsession.

You move on and make new friends, very rarely do you see people who have been friends since middle school, and are now in their late 30s or older, the lifelong friendships typically begin in college.

I have a saying, "Nuking the tool-shed". Oddly enough, came from playing YuGiOh years ago. Friend would play that lightning bolt card that sweeps every monster on the other side... On ONE monster... One he could probably have just killed on his next turn. Then I'd bust out an entire field with 'special' summons and completely destroy him. EVERY. TIME.... But that's neither here nor there...
