YouTube is Ridiculous

Just like the title says. YouTube is ridiculous.

I'm updating my first self-recorded PBR battle right now, and I notice finally that they say it could take anywhere from 1-5 minutes PER MEGABITE to upload.

... This video is 656 MB. Worst case scenario, it'll take about 50+ hours... Over two days.

How the fuck do I shrink this video in that case? It's in an AVI format, and I don't have a video converter.

Hah, I just calculated the BEST case scenario at ONE minute per MB... About 10 hours.

Did you upgrade to a pay account or something? Usually they don't allow video's over ten minutes and must be under 100 megs for free accounts.

But yeah, you're not going to be able to upload shit under AVI, unless it's like only two minutes, lol. Luckily if you're not a macfag you should have Windows Movie Maker installed on your PC already. Just import it to WMM, go to "Save Movie As..." or something to that effect, and let it convert your XBAWKS HUEG avi file. Should trim the fat down to less than 100 mb, assuming your video is under ten minutes. Quality suffers because of it, but it'll be shafted through jewtube regardless.

If you pay, its unlimited time. If you don't, its about 10 minutes limit. I don't pay because my vids are usually short. Plus, I could always make more than one video in continuation.
