Advertising

Well, we've been running out of active members here lately (what with a couple of them being banned and all) and I really feel that we should be stepping up in the area of advertising.

I did hear that KO and Duncan might be able to record battles and upload them to youtube for advertising.....

Also, there was a banner contest a while back, and there were some pretty nice entries. You can just stick those in your signatures (for most sites) and make them image links to the site for passive advertising. >_>

I don't belong to many sites that like Pokemon.

It's this one, and Ryu's.

We should get ryu to tell people to come over here.

it doesnt even matter if those sites like it or are geared to pokemon... it just matters that the word that we are here gets out. even if one person sees it and clicks it and joins it would be worth it.

Sage, the last thing we need is another Pauper.

Also, I might get 2 of my friends, brothers, but they do football at this really smart prep school, so they aren't free very often.

If someone buys me a camera, I'll record battles XD.

It's lame because I even have Platinum, which makes recording 20 times easier...if you have a camera to do so.

I mean, I have a camera...but it only records really short videos ^^;. I'll see what I can do with it, though...

I can probably steal BORROW WITHOUT ASKING my mom's camcorder, but I have no idea where she keeps it.

Also, I haven't the faintest idea on how to upload crap to youtube.

And I probably have an unsteady camera hand >_<

if you arnt a paid member you can only up load vids 10mins 59secs long so make sure you can edit the film...

Editing a video is painfully easy, trust me on that one. If you can operate a digital camcorder, and upload it to your PC, editing the video is nothing.

Windows Movie Maker, while incredibly primitive, pretty much does it for you, you simply drag and drop the video file into the Video timeline, and if you wish to have audio, drag and drop the audio file into the Audio timeline, and the only thing left to do is prune the pieces you don't want off, which is as simple as pressing the Split button, and deleting the piece.

If you have an Apple, you should probably kill yourself, because you're on your own there.

I would actually try to get clips of different kinds of battles (I'll actually see if I can get at least parts of some of my own)...like NU, OU, Ubers, etc. And then maybe put it to music.

Although we can certainly upload some actual battle vids, too, and advertise Shuten in the intro ^^.

When Zeph made a video, he also gave kind of a tour of the site and the different features we had.

It might be possible for me to legally obtain torrent (wait, what) some kind of CPU recording stuff, and I could record the site and Shoddy Battles...

Why would you record Shoddy Battles?

It's a screen.

Because they're easier to set up than wifi battles....there are less connection breaks.......

But PBR is laaaaaame.

You can't have Lv.100 6v6 battles on it unless you ACTUALLY raise all of your pokemon to level 100 >_>

You can still see the super sweet moves.

And PBR takes forever >_>

PBR is garbage.

Recording Shoddy is 4reelz ez tho, being already on the PC and all.

actually I'LL record a PBR battle and make a commercial... AND upload it... screw you all! (j/k)
